Pioneer Action Shooters (NE29) is a United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) club that started in 2016. Our matches are typically the 4th Sunday of the month, but view calendar as this may change. We typically have 6 to 7 stages, with 1 to 2 of them being a classifier.
You do not need to be a member of USPSA or Pioneer Sportsmen to compete in our matches. They are open to the public. To compete, you need to have gear appropriate for the USPSA division you are shooting. The following divisions: Open, Limited, Limited 10, Limited Optics, Production, Single Stack, Revolver, Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) and Carry Optics. If you have any questions about gear or divisions, review USPSA current rules for division requirements and/or ask us using the contact info at the bottom of the page.
Match Fees: $25.00 for Pioneer members. $30.00 for non-members
Payment can be made online through Practiscore.com (registration and payment take place here.)
Registration: each match opens several weeks prior to the match date. Please register online at Practiscore.com. Please verify your information to avoid any errors in your registration. Your USPSA number is not automatically added to your registration. Please make sure you add it if you want credit for your classifier. Match approval will take place about 24 hours after the match opens. Once approved, you must pay before you squad. Make sure you click the "squad button" at the bottom of the squadding page. If you don't, the system won't squad you.
A shooter who has been approved for a match will have three (3) days to pay. If not paid by the end of day three (3), the shooter will be withdrawn from the match. If this happens and the shooter still wishes to participate, they will need to register again for the match.
Wait listing will occur when the match is full. When and if shooters withdrawal from the match, those on the wait list will be approved. Walk-ins on match day is risky, as one might not get in. We don't know until match day at registration if everyone has shown up. Any questions, just reach out.
If you are willing to work the match as a Chief Range Officer, Range Officer and/or Scorekeeper, please indicate that in the appropriate checkbox when registering on Practiscore.com Once approved as staff, place yourself on the Staff squad-8. You will be assigned a squad before the match. Do not squad yourself or you will be moved back to the Staff squad. If you have a request to shoot on a squad, ask me and I will do my best to accommodate. Keep in mind, as staff accommodation may not always be possible.
Stage setup is the day before the match. Please help set up, even if it's just for a short time, your help is appreciated. We draw two to three names from the set up crew to give them a gift card for helping. Winnings will be presented on match day.
Setup crew will be entered into a drawing for an end of season prize. Each time you come and help set up, you will get an entry into the drawing. Winners will drawn at the last match of the season.
We always need help with setup. If we don’t have enough setup crew, the match could be cancelled.
Parking: NO parking allowed on the range road during the match. Park only in the area in front of the clubhouse. Parking is also allowed by Pistol Bay.
Check-in: 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 am. and will be downrange by Plate Rack Bay. ALL shooters, to include staff, need to check in. If shooters don't check in, we won't know if a squad is full, if staff for squad is present, etc... Please all check in.
Staff walk through - if there is one for a match, this will start at 8:15a.m. with location TBD. A few days prior to the match an email will be sent on this.
Safety briefing: 8:45a.m. will be down range by Baby Bay/brown shed.
Withdrawal and Refunds: If you withdraw from the match 24 hours or less, prior to the start of a match (7:30a.m. is start on match day) or if you just don't show up, you will not be refunded. Any refunds prior to the 24 hour time, will be for the amount paid minus the Stripe credit card fee.
If you arrive with a loaded carry gun, please let a staff member know and we can take you to an area to unload. We highly encourage lawful concealed carry, but we run all USPSA matches on a cold range. When you leave, let a staff member know that you need to load up your carry gun and we'll get you taken care of quickly.
